Discover the vibrant world of colored pencils in this 2-hour hands-on workshop designed for beginners and aspiring artists alike. Participants will learn: -How to control pressure for layering and shading -Blending techniques to create smooth, rich color transitions -A touch of color theory through drawing a personalized color wheel -How to bring it all together by drawing a realistic cat eye from a photo reference We will have some coloring pencils to borrow, but if participants are able to bring their own set we strongly encourage it! We recommend the 12 count Prismacolor Premier set (get it on Amazon or at Michaels with one of their coupons). Prismacolor Scholars, or any similar pencils would also be perfectly fine. Avoid kid's coloring pencils like Crayola, their wax content is too high for smooth, realistic artwork.
